Hey everyone, so after sweating away a night of free time on this site it’s ready to show to the world. I thought I’d catch everyone up with what I know about our next album.
We don’t have a name for it. It’s 10 tracks long. It clocks in at about 50 minutes. The artwork will be by me (I run a graphic and web design company) and a talented illustrator called Stephen Daoud. The final day of mixing is today. After it’s mixed we’re sending it off to be mastered in America by Alan Douches. He’s mastered Sufjan Stephens, Grandmaster Flash, These Arms Are Snakes, Mastadon, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventures in Surround… we figure he’s got the credibility to working with us on this record!
If you hadn’t heard already, we have two tracks online right now. Check them at bandcamp or our myspace page.
Update: Don’t go elsewhere… here is the music!
I typed up the lyrics of “Don’t Talk About Dust” for the bandcamp page, and here they are reproduced again…
Wide-eyes tell it true but I prefer the brush.
I knew a man who said we were dust
Like seeds we sprung up and with breath we took flight
I was pulling the sails before my legs had stepped. But now did imagination’s great reach over-step your shallow mark? Business the innovator, innovator in a jealous relationship out for blood. Art, the cut-throat industry. It’s all networking. Do you have the contacts?
Business the innovator, innovator, innovator.
Shallow means, shallow ends and then the chips are down. Controversy an ace in the hand.
Shallow means to a shallow ends and then the chips are down. Controversy an ace in the hand. Ace in the… ace in the….
I knew a man who said we were dust.
Like seeds we sprung and with breath we took flight.
There’s already so much more to say, but it’ll have to wait for another night. I’m tired and I’m getting up at 7am to drive to Worcester and mix our record with Jim Turner. GOOD TIMESzzzzzzzz…
